Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is a diluent, not an active compound. Supplied in a sealed 10ML multi-dose vial.

Used to reconstitute lyophilised samples. The preservative allows the vial to be entered more than once. Store sealed at room temperature, away from direct light. Once opened, refrigerate at 2-8°C and observe the vial's own in-use limit. Supplied for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption.
